The Microchip® maXTouch architecture set a new benchmark for capacitive touchscreens. With the Microchip maXTouch E Series, Microchip has once again raised the bar by providing single-chip touchscreen controllers that exceed industry standards—even under the toughest conditions. The Microchip mXT224E mutual capacitance touchscreen controller is suitable for use on a wide range of devices ranging from smartphones to tablets—up to 7” diagonal. The highly responsive IC can interpret as many as ten touches on the touchscreen while consuming a fraction of the current of other solutions on the market. With advanced touch processing, the device can also ignore unintentional touches caused by a gripping hand or resting palm, while correctly interpreting light touches.
