The PT6362 Excalibur series of integratedswitching regulators (ISRs) combines outstandingpower density with a comprehensive list offeatures. They are an ideal choice for applicationswhere board space is a premium and performancecannot be compromised. These modules provide upto 11 A of output current, yet are housed in a lowprofile,12-pin, package that is almost half thesize of the previous product generation. The integralcopper case construction requires no heatsink,and offers the advantages of solderability and asmall footprint (0.64 in² for suffix ‘N’). Boththrough-hole and surface mount pin configurationsare available.The PT6362 series operates from a 12-V inputbus and provides a convenient point-of-load powersource for the industry’s latest high-performanceDSPs and microprocessors. The series includesoutput voltage options as low as 1.0 VDC.Other features include external output voltageadjustment, on/off inhibit, short circuit protection,and an output remote sense.
