The PT6475 Excalibur series of integratedswitching regulators (ISRs) combines outstandingpower density with a comprehensive list offeatures. They are an ideal choice for applicationswhere board space is a premium and performancecannot be compromised. These modules provide afull 14 A of output current, yet are housed in alow-profile, 12-pin, package that is almost halfthe size of the previous generation of products.The integral copper case construction requiresno heatsink, and offers the advantages of solderabilityand a small footprint (0.64 in² for suffix‘N’). Both through-hole and surface mount pinconfigurations are available.The PT6475 series operates from a 3.3-Vinput to provide a convenient point-of-load powersource for the industry’s latest high-performanceDSPs and microprocessors. The series includesoutput voltage options as low as 1.0V DC.Other features include external output voltageadjustment, on/off inhibit, pre-bias startup, shortcircuit protection, and an output remote sense.
