DAC 1-CH Current Steering 8-bit 6-Pin SOT-23 T/R

The MAX5385 low-cost, 8-bit digitalto-analogconverters (DACs) in miniature 6-pin SOT23packages have a simple 3-wire, SPI/QSPI/MICROWIRE-compatible serial interface that operatesup to 10MHz. The MAX5383 has an internal +2V referenceand operates from a +2.7V to +3.6V supply. TheMAX5384 has an internal +4V reference and operatesfrom a +4.5V to +5.5V supply. The MAX5385 operatesover the full +2.7V to +5.5V supply range and has aninternal reference equal to 0.9 x VDD. The MAX5385 require an extremelylow supply current of only 150µA (typ) and provide abuffered voltage output. These devices power up at zerocode and remain there until a new code is written to theDAC registers. This provides additional safety for applicationsthat drive valves or other transducers that needto be off on power-up. The MAX5385 include a 1µA, low-power shutdown mode thatfeatures software-selectable output loads of 1kO, 100kO,or 1MO to ground.
