36-port SAS expander 6G/3G Multiplexing

The PM8005 device is a 36-port SAS expander that features 6G/3G multiplexing, SAS 2.0 zoning, self-configuration, table to table routing, an Ethernet port, and an integrated MIPS processor for SES and enclosure management support. Applications for the PM8005 include SAS/SATA JBODs and RBODs, high-density SAS HBAs, blade server disk interconnects, SAS switches and HDD expansion for enterprise servers.

• Supports native 6G connections on all ports for support of SAS 6G and SATA 6G HDDs
• Supports 2: 1 DWORD muxing for maximum bandwidth aggregation when used in a system with SAS or SATA 3G HDDs
• Table-to-table routing removes need for keyed connectors
